Day 1

Route - Day 1

Arrival in Havana International Airport Jose Martì , welcome and and private transfer to colonial Bed and Breakfast in the Old city (room with air conditioning,private bathroom). Day 2

Route - Day 2

Breakfast. Departure for Havana   city tour for 4 hours on board of vintage cars of the 50s. Itinerary: panoramic route of the famous Havana promenade "el Malecòn" we proceed to the 5th Avenue (the street of the mansions of the ambassadors, always the richest area of Havana) arrival at the Jaguey park where you can admire the homonymous old plants whose very particular roots come down from the trees to re-enter the ground creating spectacular weaves. We leave by car and stop at the green lung of the city the Bosque de La Habana with its thick vegetation, known in Havana among the devotees of the "Santeria" religion who practice propitiatory rites leaving offerings to their "patron saints". Passage from the neighborhoods: Nuovo Vedado, the Chinese cemetery, the Necropolis of Cristoforo Colombo. Visit and stop in Revolution Square. Walk along the Prado Avenue, the Capitolio, the Gran Teatro, the Wall of Havana, the Avenida del Puerto which will lead you to the stop in Plaza San Francisco from where you start the walk through the streets of the old city visiting Plaza Vieja , calle Mercaderes (the street of the merchants) Plaza de la Catedral, the famous bar Bodeguita del Medio, Plaza des Armas. Rest of the afternoon and free evening. Accommodation in BnB in Havana.

Day 3

Route - Day 3

Breakfast. Full day group excursion to Vinales Valley. Departure at about 08.00 towards the valley of Pinar del Rio, the northernmost province of Cuba known for its tobacco plantations and protected areas as a "Biosphere Reserve". Distance from Avana 180 km.   Once in Vinales you will visit the area that has been declared a UNESCO protected landscape with a stop at the tobacco plantation "la casa del Veguero". Visit to the viewpoint "the mirador de Los Jasmines" from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley, palm groves, plantations and the typical rock formations "mogotes" which stand like monoliths in the whole valley. You will enter a karstic formation with a river that flows inside it at the Indio’s cave. Lunch included based on typical Creole cuisine. Visit to the Murales of prehistory, a giant fresco painted on one of the Mogotes of the valley by the students of anthropology of the University of Havana. Return to the city of Havana in the early evening.

Day 4

Departure with private car and driver (fuel included) to the beautiful nature of Guama '(Bay of Pigs, Playa Giron, Playa Larga) located in the Zapata Peninsula in the province of Matanzas. Within the Zapata Peninsula there are over 900 autochthonous plant species, 175 bird species, 31 reptile species and more than 1000 invertebrate species. Some of the most notable are local endemics in Cuba. Zapata is also known for the Cuban endemic local crocodile (Crocodylus rhombifer). Within the peninsula there are numerous designated areas for environmental conservation, and Las Salinas sanctuary of wildlife, which is part of the largest Biosphere Reserve that in total is over 6,000 km² and the largest protected area, not only in Cuba, but also the Caribbean. Optional visit (on payment) to the reconstruction of a typical village that in the origins of Cuba was inhabited by Indians Tainos built on stilts that are reached after a short navigation very suggestive in the lagoon or optionally (always entry bu payment ) stop for swimming at natural pools of Caleta Buena. Arrival in Cienfuegos and accommodation in Hostal BB.

City tour of Cienfuegos, panoramic tour of the streets and the waterfront. the old town of Cienfuegos was included in 2005 in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site for its historical and cultural value. It contains six buildings dating from the first half of the nineteenth century, 327 buildings dated in 1188 and dating from the second half of the twentieth century. It places the Caribbean with the highest number of neoclassical buildings. Optional visit to the Tomas Terry Theater, (1889), named after a sugar magnate of Venezuelan origin. The neoclassical facade has been renovated, but the scenario has remained intact, with its rows of wooden seats that can accommodate 950 spectators. The balconies are of elegant simplicity and the ceiling is decorated with a beautiful fresco. Visitors can visit the stage. Continue to the Palacio del Valle (built in neo-Gothic style between 1913 and 1917). Continue in the afternoon to TRINIDAD and accommodation.

City tour of Trinidad walking through the historic city that for its state of preservation faithfully reproduces the atmosphere of the colonial era. One of the most beautiful colonial cities of Cuba, was declared in 1988 by UNESCO World Heritage Site. Trinidad was founded by Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar in 1514 with the name of Villa De la Santisima Trinidad. It is one of the best preserved cities in the Caribbean, from the time when sugar was the main trade in these places. Trinidad flourished in the colonial period and with the slavery, optional visit to Romantic city museum, the church of the Santissima Trinidad, optional stop at the bar Canchanchara where you can enjoy a typical drink whose recipe comes from the customs of the Spanish settlers who used the ingredient typical of the place, lime juice, brown sugar and rum. From Trinidad through the Valle de Los Ingenios (valley of the mills), a silent sentinel of the past, characterized by the boom of the sugar refineries in Trinidad, where the slavery phenomenon linked to Spanish colonization in Cuba is present everywhere in its culture and traditions. The ruins of Manacas plantations, sugar mills and old colonial estates are silent witnesses of past slavery. The tower was built in 1816, it is characterized by eclectic architecture. The aim of its construction was to watch from slave labor on plantations. Three bells in the tower, each with a different sound, signal the beginning and end of work, rest days, the escape of a slave, when the bells rang together signaled an invasion by pirates. Continue on to Santa Clara, the city scenery of the most revolutionary achievements that currently houses the mausoleum with the remains of the guerrilla revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara. Accommodation at CAYO SANTA MARIA (Cay or "Key" of Santa Maria) is an island off Cuba's north central coast in the Jardines del Rey archipelago. The island is linked by road and bridge to the town of Caibarién on the main island. Cayo Santa María is well known for its white sand beaches and luxury all inclusive resorts. The island is linked to the mainland near Caibarién by a 48 km causeway constructed between 1989 and 1999 by Campaña de Las Villas.
