  • CAYO LEVISA : belongs to the archipelago de los Colorados and is located about 50 km northeast of Viñales. It is approximately 4 km long and wide from 150 to 1000 m approx 4 km away. from Palma Rubia on the coast of Cuba (pier where you embark for Cayo). The south side and its offshoot to the south-west is dominated by mangroves, the natural habitat of the manatee (Trichechus manatus, manatees in local language) that are seen sometimes. The remaining 5 km coastline consist of spectacular virgin sandy beach. The island is next to coral reef environments and is known to divers for its diving spots where you can admire numerous coral formations, large sponges and black coral branches foltissimi specimens of large barracuda.
